A Belarus-Cuba intergovernmental agreement on cooperation and mutual assistance in customs matters was signed during the visit of Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko to Cuba, BelTA learned from the State Customs Committee of Belarus.
“The document seeks to improve interaction between the two countries in the customs sphere. The agreement provides for the timely exchange of information to ensure effective administration of customs duties, the correct classification of goods and compliance with non-tariff regulations. It will also facilitate the implementation of other tasks facing the customs authorities,” the State Customs Committee remarked.
In the first half of 2024, five international agreements were signed with India, Egypt, Uzbekistan, and Azerbaijan, to streamline customs clearance of goods, facilitate export-import operations and provide additional benefits to authorized economic operators.
