Belarus, India to formalize cooperation in forensics

The State Forensic Examination Committee of Belarus and the Ministry of Home Affairs of India intend to formalize cooperation in forensics, the press service of the State Forensic Examination Committee told BelTA following a visit of the committee's deputy chairman Aleksei Aleshkevich to India.

During the visit, Aleksei Aleshkevich met with Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Shyamal Misra of India.

The parties are working to formalize interdepartmental cooperation in forensics.

During the talks, the parties reviewed the provisions of the agreement that required discussion, reached a tentative agreement to sign it in 2023, and also exchanged views on promising areas of cooperation in forensics. Aleksei Aleshkevich and Shyamal Misra expressed hope for the early signing of the agreement, which will allow forensic experts of India and Belarus to exchange experience.

Aleksei Aleshkevich took part in the 11th meeting of the Belarusian-Indian intergovernmental commission on cooperation in trade, economy, industry, science, technology and culture. The commission comprehensively considered the entire range of issues of bilateral cooperation in science, education, technology and other avenues.

A Belarusian-Indian investment and business forum was were held on the sidelines of the meeting.
