Belarusian PM presents awards for professional distinction

Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko is presenting state awards in a solemn ceremony in the Palace of the Republic in Minsk, BelTA has learned.

The ceremony has brought together the best representatives of various industries and sectors labor from different parts of Belarus. They all are at the top of their fields, eager to implement ambitious projects even in the most difficult conditions and perform the most difficult tasks.

To those present at the ceremony, Roman Golovchenko addressed words of gratitude for their work and dedication.

"On the instruction of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko, well-deserved state awards will be presented to professionals whose services to their country are appreciated by the state," Roman Golovchenko said.

The prime minister stressed: "The ceremony is held in the run-up to the main state holiday - the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus which makes it even more special."

"This holiday symbolizes the freedom, strength and unity of our country. It also serves as a reminder of how fragile peace is, how difficult it is to obtain independence and how important it is to protect it. The opportunity to live in a sovereign state, to independently determine the course of foreign and domestic policy based on one's own interests is an exceptional value and the most important achievement of the Belarusian people," Roman Golovchenko said.

Expressing gratitude for the fruitful work, the prime minister highlighted the special role of those who faithfully serve their Fatherland. "Each of those present in this hall makes a significant contribution to strengthening our independence with their daily work. ‘Brick by brick' we are building a stable, modern, confidently looking to the future sovereign Belarus," the head of government emphasized.

The prime minister also said that today there are many industrial workers among the awardees. "This is no accidental. The manufacturing sector has been operating steadily, scaling up output for several years," Roman Golovchenko outlined the situation.

Today, words of appreciation are also addressed to workers of education and science, financial and tax services, construction, transport and petrochemical industries, representatives of the creative intelligentsia.
