Belarusian scientists encouraged to assimilate cutting-edge R&D products into manufacturing faster

Cutting-edge R&D products of Belarusian scientists should be introduced into manufacturing more actively. Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Piotr Parkhomchik made the relevant statement before a solemn assembly of Belarusian scientists ahead of Belarusian Science Day, BelTA has learned.

Piotr Parkhomchik said: “Belarusian science moves forward. During today’s conference hosted by the head of state it was pointed out that more discoveries are needed, that it is necessary to implement more ideas in the real sector of the economy, in the manufacturing sector. Today the exhibition timed to Belarusian Science Day featured many unique samples. I can see that scientists develop everything our country needs. The number of cutting-edge R&D products rises all the time. The president outlined a clear task for industrialists: it is necessary to find as many new solutions as possible and implement them in practice.”

The other day the deputy prime minister was made familiar with projects of young scientists employed by organizations of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. The projects were presented during the qualification phase of the national youth innovation project 100 Ideas for Belarus. “Young people have so many discovers. Everyone wants to promote their ideas and get them implemented by the real sector,” he remarked.

An assembly of Belarusian scientists took place in the National Library of Belarus on 26 January. Representatives of academic science, university science, and corporate science, who had made the most significant contributions to the development of science, R&D, and innovations, were awarded.

An exhibition of accomplishments of Belarusian science stayed open in the library’s hall during the day. It featured hundreds of R&D products made by institutions and organizations of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Education Ministry, the State Authority for Military Industry of Belarus, the Defense Ministry, the Healthcare Ministry, the Agriculture and Food Ministry, the Industry Ministry, the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Ministry, and companies residing in technoparks.
