Cooperation prospects of Belarus, Russia’s Kaluga Oblast assessed
Belarusian First Deputy Architecture and Construction Minister Oleg Shvets and Governor of Russia’s Kaluga Obklast Vladislav Shapsha signed an action plan to implement the agreement between the governments of Belarus and Kaluga Oblast on trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation for 2024-2026 on 2 September, BelTA has learned.
According to Oleg Shvets, the previous plan designed for 2021-2023 was implemented 100%. “The new plan includes a set of measures, as the Architecture and Construction Ministry is assigned to this region. It is not only the construction sector, where we have great successes. Today we opened a school in Kaluga, and it is not the first one. More than 10 school projects have already been implemented. Belarusians have built entire neighborhoods. The new plan includes cooperation in industry, engineering, agriculture, tourism, culture, science, and education,” the first deputy minister said.
“The plan is big and action-packed. Its implementation will be under control. I think it will give an opportunity to further develop our cooperation,” he said.
As for the construction sector, Belarusian specialists will soon launch the projects to build another school in Kaluga Oblast and a kindergarten in Maloyaroslavets. “Our major companies construct housing in the region as well,” Oleg Shvets said.
