Business ties and industrial cooperation have been steadily developing between Belarus and China, Chairman of the Supreme Coordinating Council of the Union of Legal Entities "National Confederation of Entrepreneurship" Andrei Kopytok said this on the sidelines of the Minsk-Lanzhou forum with the support of the Standing Committee of Gansu Province and the Chinese embassy in Belarus, BelTA has learned.
Last year, trade between Belarus and China exceeded $8 billion, with Belarusian exports to China increasing, Andrei Kopytok said.
According to him, patterns of interaction to establish diplomatic and business contacts are changing. “We have already observed an increase in Chinese and Belarusian business visits, and also a high readiness from China to start working out a concept for the establishment of joint ventures in Belarus at the first negotiations. The Chinese embassy in Belarus plays an important role here. We, on the part of the confederation, also act as a driver and facilitator of the transaction and B2B negotiations,” he said.
Andrei Kopytok added that joint agreements on cooperation in such areas as real estate projects, export and import of grain, timber, agricultural products, metals, ores, development of an international network of restaurants, import of auto parts and vehicles, including used ones, integration services for IT-companies, import of Chinese medicines have already been tentatively signed as part of the ongoing business matchmaking session.
“We also observe increasing business ties and industrial cooperation between Belarusian and Chinese businesses,” Andrei Kopytok said.
