On 25 September Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko made new appointments in the Vitebsk City Executive Committee and the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee, BelTA has learned.
Gennady Sabinich, who previously headed the Vitebsk District Executive Committee, has been appointed mayor of Vitebsk.
The president also made new appointments in the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee. Aleksei Geroyev, who was previously in charge of the Architecture and Construction Committee in this region, has been approved for the post of deputy chairman of the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee (construction, housing and utilities), Igor Kuznetsov, who headed the Miory District Executive Committee, has been appointed chief of administration.
The head of state also approved the appointment of the heads of six district executive committees: Sergei Semenychev - chairman of the Miory District Executive Committee, Oleg Makarevich – chairman of the Senno District Executive Committee, Vladimir Belov – head of the Ivatsevichi District Executive Committee, Viktor Rafalovich – chairman of the Gantsevichi District Executive Committee, Dmitry Shinkarenko – chairman of the Korma District Executive Committee, Dmitry Chigir – chairman of the Dribin District Executive Committee.
