Over 15 international delegations visited the international expo of security industry “National security. Belarus 2024”. Deputy State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Aleksandr Rakhmanov made the statement before the 4th international applied science conference on the main directions for improving the national security system, BelTA has learned.
Aleksandr Rakhmanov said: “Today’s international applied science conference organized by the State Secretariat of the Security Council together with the Investigative Committee is one in the series of events held under the aegis of the international expo of security industry ‘National security. Belarus 2024’. I can boldly say that the expo has been held and has been successful.”
The stronger interest on the part of the general public also testifies to that, the official noted. “According to the reports I get, the number of visitors exceeded the number registered during the expo held in 2022 by 2,500 people,” he said. Apart from that, Aleksandr Rakhmanov added, the expo is popular with international delegations.
“When the organizing committee was developing the plan for holding this expo, we used the National Security Concept as the basis. And we incorporated all the nine spheres stipulated by the document – social, economic, political ones, and so on – into the basis,” Aleksandr Rakhmanov said. “We presented exhibitors in each sphere of national security. Dialogue platforms, roundtable sessions, various events where representatives of government agencies and single-discipline specialists were present, became the second block.”
The deputy state secretary of the Security Council stated that over 15 international delegations visited the expo. “The geography also expanded. We are glad that official delegations from countries like the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Vietnam, and virtually all the post-Soviet space countries came to the expo. We’ve heard only positive feedback from heads of these delegations,” Aleksandr Rakhmanov assured.
