Over 8,000 people visit BelTA’s photo exhibition Parallel Worlds at National Library

More than 8,000 people visited BelTA’s photo exhibition Parallel Worlds that was running at the National Library of Belarus from 17 to 21 January, BelTA has learned.

The photo exhibition includes 17 posters - a collection of images from the agency's archive, reflecting two worlds: the world of the state - of creation and development, and the world of the opposition - of destruction and degradation. The exhibition was held on the 22nd floor (observation deck) of the National Library of Belarus.

According to the National Library, many people came here for a panoramic view of the city taking advantage of the fact that the entry to the exhibition is free, but almost no one ignored the posters. "The archive photos evoked particular emotions. Older people recalled their lives in the 1990s, young people compared the past and the present with interest. Visitors noted that the exhibition was a really successful project. It certainly did not go unnoticed. We estimated that more than 8,000 people visited the exhibition", the National Library said.

According to BelTA Director General Irina Akulovich, the photo exhibition will be held at enterprises and universities of Minsk.
