Over the past 30 years, relations between Pakistan and Belarus have grown into a strong, multifaceted partnership built on mutual respect and cooperation, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Pakistan to Belarus Sajjad Haider Khan said at the opening of the exhibition "The Splendor of Pakistan: Artistic Heritage" in the National Library on 13 June, BelTA has learned.
The head of the diplomatic mission highlighted the rich and diverse cultural heritage of his country. He noted that Pakistan is a dynamic, multicultural, multilingual and multi-religious state, home to sacred Sikh sites, historical Buddhist and Hindu landmarks and numerous churches, mosques and shrines. The ambassador also highlighted the beauty of the country's breathtaking landscapes, from the peaks of the Karakoram and Himalayas in the north to the alluring beaches of the Arabian Sea in the south.
Ambassador Sajjad Haider Khan expressed his gratitude to four talented Pakistani artists Amir Kamal, Ayesha Kamal, Erum Ashfaq and Farheen Kanwal, whose beautiful works are displayed in the exhibition.
The ambassador emphasized the importance of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Belarus celebrated this year. The Pakistani exhibition is held as part of the events to mark the anniversary of the Belarusian-Pakistani diplomatic relations.
