Representatives of seven countries gather in Minsk to discuss united radar IFF system applications

A coordinating conference took place in the Central House of Officers in Minsk to discuss the organization of applications of a united system for radar-based friend-or-foe identification, representatives of the Belarusian Defense Ministry told BelTA.

Representatives of seven countries took part in the conference: Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Armenia.

Participants of the conference discussed matters concerning a draft instruction on combat applications of the united radar IFF system Parol [Password] and its updated version Strazh [Guardian]. Development trends of military unmanned aerial vehicles and of state radar IFF solutions, which are installed on unmanned aerial vehicles, were discussed.

Participants of the meeting discussed preparations for flight calibration of united radar IFF system devices in the national armed forces.

At the end of the meeting they discussed ways to improve the work of the complex group of representatives of the Secretariat of the CIS Defense Ministers Council and the armed forces of the states parties to the agreement of 26 June 1992.
