For the first time Minsk Arena will need so much electricity! This is what the employees of the sports facility say about the upcoming large-scale sports and entertainment show Time of Our Victories. The show will take place on 7 December, BelTA has learned.
Why is this the first project of such a scale? The organizers call it partly experimental and, what is more important, socially-oriented. Attending the show will be mostly students from all over the country who have been invited to see Belarus’ culture and sports achievements. In total, about 7,000 people will see the grandiose show. The organizers think the project may be continued, and residents of the regions will be able see the large-scale show.
The main idea of the event is unity and unification. This is also the basis for the concept of the show, which directly echoes the title - Time of Our Victories. According to its design, the program is divided into 12 blocks - their themes are determined by 12 words that encourage people to act, for example: dream, appreciate, love, create, remember, be friends. Each “hour” - and all of them will be reflected on the symbolic dial - corresponds to concert and sports acts.
Performing at Minsk Arena on Saturday will be world-renowned athletes: world and European champion, Tokyo Olympics bronze medalist, Honored Master of Sports of the Republic of Belarus Alina Harnasko, two-time Olympic champion, International Master of Sports Ivan Litvinovich, Paris Olympics silver medalist, International Master of Sports Viyaleta Bardzilouskaya and many other famous Belarusian athletes.
Taking part in this sports and music show will be athletes and artists from countries which are strategic partners of Belarus. These will be athletes from best Russian gymnastics schools and an ensemble from China’s Gansu Province that will show acrobatic art. They will reflect the splendid national colors of Russia and China and will become part of the Time to Be Friends section.
The organizers have also invited famous Belarusian (and not only) artists to perform at the show. The music part of the show will feature Honored artists Alena Lanskaya and Janet, soloist of the Bolshoi Theater Taras Prisyazhnyuk, as well as our youth - Anastasia Kravchenko, Nikita Belko, Artem Skorol, Valeria Bernatovich and other young Belarusian artists. All performances will be accompanied by the Presidential Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus.
Athletes with disabilities will perform at Minsk Arena in the Time to Appreciate section of the program. World Cup winners in wheelchair dancing, multiple champions of the Republic of Belarus accepted the organizers' invitation to join the large-scale show. The organizers described Time to Remember as one of the most touching sections of the program. It is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from Nazi invaders and the upcoming 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
