All Belarusian government agencies to use beCloud's cloud computing platform by late 2018

All the Belarusian government agencies will start using beCloud's cloud computing platform by late 2018, BelTA learned from Sergei Poblaguyev, Director General of the Belarusian telecommunication infrastructure operator beCloud, on 2 March.

Sergei Poblaguyev said that the relevant documents had been signed already, this is why all the government agencies will have to migrate to the beCloud platform. Over 60 government agencies and organizations will have to make the switch.

The executive said that beCloud already works with the Tax and Duties Ministry. The large commercial clients include the Belarusian mobile carrier MTS.

"When we talk about government agencies having to migrate to our platform, we understand that most of it will be technical work. But it will allow the government agencies not to think how to organize the process itself. The migration will allow them to think about creating new services. We will just give the necessary instruments to our government agencies," stressed Sergei Poblaguyev.

On 2 March beCloud presented two key cloud computing projects — the republican data processing center and the republican cloud computing platform.

According to beCloud representatives, the company's data center is one of the most contemporary data centers in Eastern Europe. The cloud computing platform the data center hosts is unparalleled on the Belarusian market and is already available in test mode to government agencies and commercial organizations.

The deployment of the national cloud computing platform will allow the government and the private sector to greatly reduce information technology outlays.
