MINSK, 26 June (BelTA) – The Investigation Committee of Belarus plans to create its own school for the training of young specialists, chairman of the Investigation Committee of Belarus Valentin Shayev told a press conference, BelTA has learned.

"We are planning to create our own educational institution for the training of qualified personnel. Work on this is in progress. We can say that this is the project of the immediate future,” Valentin Shayev said.

The Academy of the Interior Minsitry had an official graduation ceremony on 26 June. Diplomas and lieutenant shoulder straps were given to more than 400 graduates, including young investigators. "This year, the Investigation Committee has selected 79 students, two of whom were top of the class," said Valentin Shayev.

In the future, the Investigation Committee plans to enhance its role in the process of training young specialists. The committee is set to select future specialists as early as schools and colleges and offer them to take specific courses. The committee will develop the educational programs and its specialists will hold classes, including practical courses. After the graduation and internship in the agencies of the Investigative Committee only the best students will be offered employment in the committee.
