For more than 13 years, assistance to people with disabilities has been provided at Beshenkovichi Territorial Center for Social Services
No one is safe from trouble. Today you are still full of strength, but
suddenly your fate has changed dramatically - and then the awareness belatedly
comes: what a great happiness it is to be healthy. People with disabilities
live next to us, who are also full members of civil society. They just need
care and support, warmth and the creation of certain conditions in order to
neutralize the consequences of loss of health.
The Department of Social Rehabilitation and
Habilitation of Disabled People of the Territorial Center for Social Services
of Beshenkovichi District has been providing assistance to people with
disabilities for more than 13 years. “During this time, a lot has changed, we
are developing, increasing the number of service recipients, and the services
themselves have become more diverse,” says department head Alesya Tsepoto. —
But the goal of our work is unchanged and is aimed at restoring self-care
skills that have been impaired or lost due to illness, and preparing for
independent life. For the rehabilitation of disabled people, the work of
sections and clubs has been arranged, and labor workshops are functioning for
adaptation to work. Products made by our wards are sold during regional and
district holidays and various events.”
Visitors of the branch participate in various
competitions, which makes them exercise their right to self-expression. For
many lonely disabled people and elderly citizens, the Territorial Center for
Social Services has become a home, with its own traditions, holidays, and
desire for mutual assistance. “Together we can do more”— it is with these words
that all the actions and good deeds of visitors and employees of the center
start. And they would not have been possible without the support of caring
people in our district.

of sections and clubs, so that our visitors find the meaning of life, feeling
needed by society and the people around them, and be able to realize themselves
as individuals through communication, creativity, and work , family. Thank you

therapy rehabilitation has been provided by the master of the House of Crafts,
Anna Gudovskaya, head of Glinka section. Regular assistants in providing
services for clearing snow and cleaning local areas are volunteers “Kind Heart”
of the district public organization of Belarusian Republican Youth Union and
the youth public organization of rescue firefighters. Special words of
gratitude go to the representatives of the “silver” age and the Orthodox
Church, who are the initiators and performers of many good deeds. Such people
are strong in spirit, they try to enjoy everything that is in life. Each of us
can help them with this - with our attention, participation, mercy, and share a
piece of warmth.”
