The event began with a rally dedicated to the historical and patriotic project “Digital Star”. It took place by the Mound of Glory. Those gathered paid tribute to the defenders of the Fatherland, all those who, at the cost of their own lives, defended the freedom and independence of our country, honored their memory with a minute of silence, and laid flowers.

In a solemn atmosphere, the head of the department of ideological work and youth affairs of the district executive committee, Svetlana Gaiko , at the request of the relatives of private Nikolai Ekimov, gave his medal “For Military Merit” founded the by the search team of the public association “Vitebsk Frontier” and pierced by a bullet, to the deputy military commissar of Beshenkovichi and Shumilinsky districts for territorial defense (Shumilinsky district) Major Evgeniy Gornak for subsequent storage of the latter in the archives of the military commissariat.
The event continued at the district executive committee, where a dialogue platform was held. On the eve of the International Day of Remembrance of the Victims of the Crime of Genocide, honoring their dignity and preventing this crime, Vitaly Doylidov spoke about the investigation of the criminal case of genocide of the Belarusian people, including in the territory of our district.
